Intestinal Candida – Natural Anti-fungal Treatment – Part 1

The experiences of many Candida sufferers have shown that conventional anti-fungal drugs have only very short term benefits and symptoms returned soon after they were discontinued. Anti-fungal drugs like Nystatin, Nizarol (ketoconazole),Sporanox (itraconazole) and Diflucan (fluconazole) caused the most side effects. A cocktail of natural anti-fungals seemed to work the best and had the most lasting effects.

Liver Overload

With any conditions like Candida overgrowth, bacterial fermentation or food intolerance the liver is  is likely to be under pressure. Toxins that come directly from the bowel as well as toxins produced by Candida and bacterial fermentation overload the detox pathways. Some of the anti-fungal drugs that are prescribed by doctors cause liver and kidney damage so have to be
carefully monitored. Anti-fungal drugs may kill the yeast on contact but they do not seem to get to the root of the problem.

Detox Mercury If You Want To Cure Candida For Good

Many practitioners and holistic doctors believe that the deeper underlying cause of Candida overgrowth is due to mercury toxicity. If you suspect you have a Candida problem or have been diagnosed with Candida overgrowth then it’s better to consider mercury toxicity now rather than later after you have tried everything else to get better and failed.

Mercury Toxicity

Mercury is a substance that has no known function in the body and is the most toxic of the heavy metals. Its presence can contribute to a huge range of symptoms that could even be mistaken for symptoms of Candida overgrowth.

The kidneys, intestines and nervous system are most sensitive to damage by mercury but it can lodge in the brain and many other tissues weakening the immune system. Mercury can alter the balance of the intestinal flora which together with a weakened immune system can lead to intestinal Candida overgrowth.

Candida: Get back to Basics To Treat Intestinal Candida Naturally

Candida is an yeast organism that is normally present in the digestive system in tiny amounts compared with the billions of bacteria than normally keep it in check. Under certain conditions when the balance of these organisms change and the immune system is weakened Candida overgrows and becomes a yeast infection.

Candida albicans is the yeast that is normally responsible for the majority of infections but other species such as Candida Glabrata, Candida Tropicalis and Candida Parapsilosis can also be involved.

Candida overgrowth seems to cause huge problems for many people who have it as it can be so persistent and hard to control. The yeast is a more complex cell than a bacteria which makes it more difficult to eradicate when it becomes pathogenic. It can convert into a mycelium form ( a network of fine filiments) which can penetrate the intestinal wall contributing to a condition known as “leaky gut” (increased intestinal permeability).

The normal intestinal barrier is compromised allowing bacteria, toxins and food to leak into the bloodstream. This leads to other problems including food allergies and intolerance as the immune system does not recognize the larger particles of food that can then “leak” across the intestinal lining into the blood stream. The immune system perceives them as invaders and sets up an
immune reaction against them. If you want to know more about leaky gut you can get a free  report at this site:  Leaky Gut Cure
